Can Self-Myofascial Release Help You?

If you haven't seen a foam roller before, then here's another tool for you that's definitely worth knowing (or having). Self-Myofascial Release (SMR) is another form of flexibility training that focuses on the fascial system of the body. The techniques are relatively simple and one of my clients even said that it could be called the "cheaper way of getting a massage." Of course, it may not be as pleasant or relaxing, and you still have to do the movements yourself (vs. someone kneading the muscles). Here are a few more facts . . .
