Fish, Omega-3's and Happiness

Printer-Friendly Format

Could it be that consuming more fish leads to a happier outlook in life? Any American who visits Japan will notice something drastically different in their attitudes--residents are happier and generally exude a sense of contentment. How is it that a nation that has crushing workloads, an economy that has been challenged for at least 15 years, and recently experienced a devastating earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disasters, remain genial?

Part of the reason may be: Fish. Research studies over the last few decades have shown that consuming fish, and other seafood may help with brain functionality, depression, heart & cardiovascular health, as well as joint mobility. So, add a few servings of wild salmon to your weekly meals, and receive all the benefits.

As always, consult your medical or health professional for any questions.
